Data Path : Before creating barcode user need to specify the database path.Click the Data Path option from the toolbar and select the database.There are three options related to the database choose any one according to the requirements.Do the following to connect the database:-

Click the Data Field option.

Connect To window appears.

There are three ways to connect with database : a) DBF File b) MS-Access c) SQL Server

 

3a) DBF File : If DBF file is selected then follow the under mentioned steps to connect : -

3a.1) Select the DBF file from the Connect To list.

3a.2) Select the Data Path by clicking Browse button in Connect tab.

3a.3) Click the Connect button or press Alt+C.

3a.4) Now select the Command Type and Table from the list in the Datasource tab.

3a.5) Click Ok or press Alt+O.

3b) MS-Access : If MS-Access is selected then follow the under mentioned steps to connect : -

3b.1) Select the MS-Access file from the Connect To list.

3b.2) Select the Data Path by clicking Browse button in Connect tab.

3b.3) Enter the password.

3b.4) Click the Connect button or press Alt+C.

3b.5) Now select the Command Type and Table from the list in the Datasource tab.

3b.6) Click Ok or press Alt+O.

3c) SQL Server : If SQL Server is selected then follow the under mentioned steps to connect : -

3c.1) Select the SQL Server from the Connect To list.

3c.2) Enter the Server Name,User Name and Password and click Connect or press Alt+C in Connect tab.

3c.3) Now select the Command Type and Table from the list in the Datasource tab.

3c.4) Click Ok or press Alt+O.
