Setup Packing Box Master
A new option of ‘Setup Packing Box Master’ has been added in Logic ERP which allows you to maintain a proper record of the packing boxes by assigning barcodes to each one of them. It also helps to avoid any duplicate records and makes organization of the boxes easier.
Follow the steps mentioned below to use this option:
Step-1: Click on ‘Setup Packing Box Master’ to create packing boxes. There are two tabs in this window: Define box type and Generate boxes.
Define all the details of the packing box in Define Box Type tab and click on save. (Refer to the image below).
Go to Generate boxes tab to generate packing boxes.
-Select Box Prefix from the drop down list.
-Enter the number of boxes you wish to generate in Box Count.
-Click on Generate Boxes.
Packing boxes will be generated. (Refer to the image below).
If you want to view the generated boxes, then:
-Remove any number written in front of Box Number From.
-Click on Refresh.
The generated boxes will be displayed. (Refer to the image below).
Step-2: Go to Assign Stock to Delivery Orders window. Click on Configuration. You will see a new option named ‘Validate Box No. From Packing Box Master’ has been added in the drop down list of Box No. Validation As. (Refer to the image below).Select this option.
Step-3: Select the required Delivery Order and fill in Packing Box No. If you enter a Packing Box No. that is different from what you had created in Step-1, an error message will be displayed as shown in the picture below:
When you enter a Packing Box No. that exists in Setup Packing Box Master, it will allow you to save the document without any error as shown in the picture below:
Note: One packing box no. can be used only one time. If you enter a Packing Box No. that has already been used in previous Assign Stock to Delivery Orders Document, an error message will be prompted.
For example, We used Packing Box No.- V_BOX1 while assigning stock to DO-1. Now, while assigning stock to DO-2, we are again writing V_BOX1 in Packing Box No. Therefore, an error message has been displayed. (Refer to the image below).
